In our family, we use something called a “love gift”. After a moment where a relationship has been damaged, we encourage one or both people involved to reconcile the offense by doing a specific kindness for the other person. They take a moment to give a love gift. It can be something such as a gift, a card, or a special time of connection with the goal of healing the hurt relationship.
Conflict will always be part of family life. But true reconciliation and restitution gradually build strong relationships, filled with deep connection and joy!
